What do you think of the Wedge sneaker trend?
The trend has been popular since early last year and when it first came out I thought it was incredibly unflattering but like most things with fashion, it has slowly grown on me.
Isabel Marant started the trend with the Bekket and Willow designs which was inspired by the designer herself apparently putting cork in her sneakers to elevate her height when she was younger. Last season, popular colours for these shoes were about the neutral: camel, white and black. But this season the high street have capitalised this trend and offering punchier colours to go with the sports luxe trend.
Besides the obvious pairing with jeans, many stylish ladies have worn their wedge shoes with dresses and skirts. And unlike the Converse or even Doc Martins contrasting with feminine pieces, the wedge sneaker is a lot more bolder and obvious and therefore more likely to man repel.
I’m actually preferring the non-designer versions as I feel the Isabel Marant sneakers would look too marshmallowy/snowbooty on me. And since I still think this is still very much a trend rather than an investment classic, I’d rather spend a bit less.
What do you guys think?

It’s still a no for me. Then again I am not that fashion forward. I think sneaker heels was in a shoe hall of shame post hahaha.
hahaha can you imagine wearing these with the onesies you posted?
