Fellow Aussies – How did you spend your ‘strayaday’?
We spent the morning at the beach. And this year we managed to avoid getting dunked.
We had a long nap in the afternoon before going to our friend’s party for a BBQ and drinks. We then walked into the CBD straight into the crowds of thousands to see the fireworks.
After the fireworks we were glad to move away from the slightly intoxicated crowd to Northbridge – which normally on any other night wouldn’t be the place to go to escape a rowdy and drunk crowd – but with the fringe festival, there was plenty of things going on including a pretty awesome mermaid show and a laneway market with handmade goods.
How did you spend your day?
We did the requisite bbq, listened to JJJ Hottest 100 and went to fireworks at night.. didn’t see any mermaids though!
I forgot to mention the Triple J Hottest 100 too! How did your daughter go with the fireworks?
